Abstract

Data global terbaru menunjukkan bahwa hanya 84% anak-anak yang menerima dosis ketiga vaksin DTP dan 83% menerima dosis pertama vaksin campak pada tahun 2023, membuat jutaan orang berisiko terkena penyakit yang dapat dicegah, masalah yang diperburuk oleh pandemi Covid-19, yang menyebabkan 67 juta anak melewatkan vaksinasi penting di seluruh dunia. Kesenjangan ini menyoroti kebutuhan mendesak untuk memperkuat literasi kesehatan di antara orang tua dan guru untuk memastikan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan anak yang optimal. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan pada Juni 2024 di PAUD Terpadu Miracle Kids, Kota Malang ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tentang vaksinasi dan penanganan terpadu penyakit anak (SIMAMBA) di kalangan pengasuh. Sebanyak 36 peserta mengikuti sesi edukasi. Terdapat peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan peserta setelah intervensi, dengan nilai rata-rata meningkat sebesar 31,7 poin (dari 58,3 menjadi 90,0). Nilai minimum meningkat dari 20 menjadi 40, dan nilai maksimum meningkat dari 80 menjadi 100. Proporsi peserta yang diklasifikasikan memiliki pengetahuan "Baik" meningkat dari 25% menjadi 91,7%. Temuan ini menyoroti efektivitas kegiatan SIMAMBA dalam meningkatkan pemahaman pengasuh tentang vaksinasi dan manajemen kesehatan anak melalui edukasi interaktif yang tepat sasaran.
