Indonesian Journal of Research in Physical Education, Sport, and Health (IJRPESH) is an international journal for the publication of articles of interest to researchers in physical education, sport, and health and has rapidly become a major focal point for the publication of sport science research from throughout the world. IJRPESH is published every April and October.

The Indonesian Journal of Research in Physical Education, Sport, and Health (IJRPESH) publishes high-quality research that advances knowledge in physical education, sport, and health-related physical activity. The journal particularly emphasizes research related to physical activity, human movement, and sport participation in educational and community contexts.

The journal welcomes original research articles, review articles, and scholarly discussions in the following areas:

1. Physical Education and Pedagogy
Teaching and learning in physical education, innovative teaching methods, curriculum development, and instructional strategies.

2. Youth Sport and Physical Activity Development
Youth sport participation, physical literacy, motor skill development, and long-term athlete development in educational settings.

3. Physical Activity, Health, and Well-being
Physical activity for health promotion, exercise and physical fitness in school and community settings, and physical activity interventions for improving health outcomes.

4. Adapted and Inclusive Physical Activity
Inclusive physical education, adapted physical activity for individuals with disabilities, and physical activity programs for diverse populations.

5. Human Movement and Sport Performance
Motor learning and motor control; movement analysis in sport and physical activity; and training approaches related to physical performance and injury prevention.

This journal has been accredited by the National Journal Accreditation (ARJUNA), managed by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, with the Second Rank (SINTA 2) from 2023 to 2028. 0228/DTS/C3/DT.05.00/2026

Important Notes for Authors

To ensure the quality, integrity, and ethical standards of manuscripts submitted to the Indonesian Journal of Research in Physical Education, Sport, and Health (IJRPESH), authors must comply with the following requirements:

  1. Similarity Index
    The similarity score must be below 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned prior to peer review.

  2. AI Writing Detection
    The AI writing detection score must be below 30%. AI tools may only be used for language assistance, not for generating the main scholarly content.

  3. Ethical Clearance
    Studies involving human participants or other living subjects must include a valid ethical clearance approval number (protocol) issued by an authorized ethics committee.

  4. ORCID ID
    All authors must have an ORCID ID and provide it during the submission process.

  5. References Quality
    Manuscripts are expected to cite relevant and recent international references, with a strong preference for peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus or other reputable databases.

  6. Data Availability Statement
    Authors must include a Data Availability Statement explaining how the research data can be accessed or stating the reason for any restrictions.

Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to authors before entering the peer-review process.

Announcement: Migration of IJRPESH to Digital Commons

Dear Authors, Reviewers, and Readers,

We are pleased to announce that the Indonesian Journal of Research in Physical Education, Sport, and Health (IJRPESH) has officially migrated to the Digital Commons publishing platform.

Starting from June 2026, all new manuscript submissions should be made through the new journal website:

https://citeus.um.ac.id/ijrpesh

As part of this migration process, all previously published articles from Volumes 1-4 have been transferred and are now available on the new platform. Authors and readers can access the complete journal archive through the new website.

We would also like to assure all authors that the migration will not affect the visibility, indexing, or citation tracking of previously published articles. Articles published in Volume 1–Volume 4 will continue to be indexed and discoverable through the journal's indexing and abstracting services, including:

  • DOAJ
  • Google Scholar

This migration is intended to improve the journal's publishing workflow, accessibility, long-term preservation, and overall user experience for authors, reviewers, and readers.
